AI Advantage in action
Waterfield worked with the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW to create a clear AI governance framework, driving alignment and strategic AI adoption across the organisation.
Background
Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, a large and established organisation, recognised the growing need to integrate AI into their operations but were uncertain where to begin.
They required a clear governance framework to align AI use with their business objectives and ensure responsible management. Additionally, RAS sought support to drive AI adoption across teams, ensuring consistent practices and a shared strategic direction for AI use throughout the organisation.
Background
Process
Our approach began with equipping RAS with a comprehensive understanding of AI and its transformative potential. Through hands-on workshops, we designed and facilitated a tailored governance framework to ensure responsible AI use while boosting confidence in adoption.

An internal pilot team was promptly established to test and refine AI applications, supported by an oversight committee to share key insights and drive accountability.
To sustain momentum, a Community of Practice was created, empowering the organisation to foster AI expertise and scale learning across teams, with a focus on building internal capability and expertise.
Outcome
RAS achieved a deeper understanding of AI’s applications, with staff gaining clarity on where and how to use it effectively, ultimately saving a vast amount of time and allowing teams to focus on higher-value initiatives.
A robust governance framework was successfully implemented, ensuring responsible AI use across the organisation. Key insights from the pilot team were shared organisation-wide, fostering scalable learning and promoting continuous improvement.
Today, RAS operates with assured capability, confidently extending AI safely across their operations with a shared strategic direction for future AI initiatives.
